We’ve had a fantastic year at DAN in 2019 – with lots of new members, cool projects and successful exhibitions. Check out our projects list and past blogs as a reminder.
In 2020 we have lots planned, including our summer solstice arts fair in central park and developing our Ice Cream Van mobile arts unit project – so watch this space!
On Sunday we held our annual DAN Christmas meal at SeDir restaurant in Lowfield Street, with fun, frivolity and a belly dancer extraordinaire.
Have a fantastic Christmas and we will see you in 2020!
Thanks to everyone who came, saw and bought at the DAN Christmas Art Fair.
It was great fun to chat to people, show our work and sell some pieces to the lovely Dartford public. A huge thank you to the Priory Centre for hosting us and for being such a great continued supporter and collaborator.
Every DAN member with a stall sold something at the fair, with Pete and Mihaela selling a full painting each and Pete getting a portrait commission! Sam’s balloon animals were a hit with the kids, Sue and Nicola’s crafts went down a storm and Kate’s abstract works gathered some interested visitors.
We had a number of people who asked when we would be back, so we’re hoping we can do another Priory fair before next Christmas…watch this space..
Seeing as our Christmas Art & Craft Fair was so much fun last year, we’ve decided to do it again! 🎄🎄
SAT 30TH NOV at the Priory Centre in Dartford
DAN members will be showing & selling our crafts & artworks.
That’s Christmas shopping sorted, with affordable art by local kent artists!🎄
COME ALONG to the fab DAN Art Fair at Dartford’s Priory Shopping Centre on 15th December & grab yourself wonderful handmade gifts & artworks for unique Christmas giving
Don’t miss our next Dartford Arts Network members’ group exhibition, opening at the Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford on the 1st December and running through Christmas to the 3rd Jan.
The exhibition will feature works by 12 local artists, varying sometimes drastically in medium, theme and imagery. We decided as a group that enforcing a theme would restrict our artists, and that an open show this year would give people the chance to submit a range of art works which convey the topics and issues which inspire them each individually.
The majority of original works in the show will be for sale, as well as limited edition art prints, postcards and notecards also available – Christmas is just around the corner and original, local art makes a wonderfully unique present!
Our Private View takes place on Sat 2nd December 6-8pm in the Mick Jagger Centre foyer; please do come and join us, meet the artists and get a sneak peek of the works before the exhibition really gets going. We often sell a lot of works at the private view, so come along to avoid missing out on your favourite!
Until then… catch the current show at the Mick Jagger Centre, held by our fabulous DAN member Kemi Adeyeme-Wilson (Art4Happiness) and running until our show goes up on 1st Dec.
