Eija Burrell

Eija grew up in Finland with an artist father. Living close to trees and water, these elements are an important part of her body & soul. All her work stems from nature, though is not always obvious in the end result. Oils are Eija’s favourite medium, often mixed with other media; she also likes pen & ink and drawing with whatever is close to hand.

Eija has been an Artistic director and curator of the London Finnish Art group since 1990, as well as a member of Dartford’s Art’s Panel, on the fundraising team for the Mayor of Dartford and acts as Curator at the Sir Peter Blake Gallery.

She was appointed Creative Director of DAN in 2019 and is an Officer of the group.
