On Saturday 30th July 2022, DAN will deliver our third arts-led workshop as part of the Ebbsfleet Cultural Festival, delivered by EDC, Cohesion Plus and Blueprint Arts. It will be the third and final workshop in our series of public engagement activities in Dartford and surroundings led by Dartford Arts Network and funded by Creative Estuary.

The workshop is part of the overall Ice Cream Van project, which looks at arts mobility along the estuary, and this event will focus on engaging with cultural diversity in a new community, through public engagement in a festival setting.

We have commissioned artist Mona Whitton to run a paper bird making workshop with visitors, making and decorating individual birds with differing styles reflective of various cultures and styles, and sparking dialogue about  how individuals come together as a whole, but can also retain their own culture and individuality within communities, as birds do within the natural world.
